Swarm Football Club (“Swarm FC”) is pleased to announce that our Director of Methodology and Global Ambassador, Jack Collison, has been appointed as an Assistant Coach with the U.S. Men’s Youth National Teams at the U19 and U20 levels.

Barry Pauwels, Head of Development of the Men’s Youth National Team (M-YNT), said:
“Jack brings a wealth of experience to this role, having excelled both as a professional player and as a coach. A former standout midfielder with extensive top-level playing experience, he has successfully transitioned into coaching, where he has honed his leadership, technical expertise, and dedication to player development. Jack’s dual perspective as a former player, knowing the pathway of a young professional, and coach will be a tremendous asset to our youth national program. His insights, work ethic, and ability to connect with young players will greatly benefit both our staff and players as we continue building for the future.”

U.S. Soccer further stated that Collison’s appointment reflects its ongoing commitment to providing the best coaching and mentorship for national team players, ensuring that the next generation of talent is supported with the highest standards of expertise and guidance.

Simon Davey, Managing Director of Swarm FC, added:

“Jack’s appointment by U.S. Soccer is a significant endorsement of the work we are doing at Swarm FC under his leadership. It validates the methodology we’ve developed to prepare and develop players, while also giving us an invaluable opportunity to learn from the innovative practices and standards applied at the national level. This recognition not only affirms our approach but also positions Swarm FC to continue growing as a leader in youth development and long-term player progression.”

Collison will join the U.S. Men’s Youth National Team staff immediately, participating in upcoming training camps in preparation for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile this winter. As coaching at the international youth level is a seasonal commitment, he will continue to fulfill his existing duties as Director of Methodology for SSA Swarm, Global Ambassador for Swarm FC and head coach of the USL2 in 2026.

All of us here at Swarm FC look forward to supporting Collison in this new role and celebrating his continued development as a coach at both the club and international levels.
